Flying Crank Ghost

The FCG is a very popular prop for haunters to build, and it's easily the most popular prop at our haunt and gets the most comments from tot's. It's basically a 3 string marionette puppet with a ghost made from coat hangers, some cheese cloth and a foam wig head. The key is having a slowly rotating, yet somewhat powerful motor to do the job. Some folks use rotissary motors, which is what I used for the first year that I got free from a guy at work but it was a older unit and wasn't up to the task and only lasted a couple of hours. The following year I shelled out the money for a good dayton gear motor and it worked great. The ghost is treated with rit fabric whitener which makes it glow brightly when used with a blacklight. The first photo shows the first version with the rotissary motor.
